TRAIL OF DRUM AND BOMBO
Intense, loud, religious and pagan at the same time, how to celebrate Holy Week in Bajo Aragon, The rate imposed by the drum and bass drum is much more than a historical tradition or cultural heritage. It is a way of understanding and feeling, a bond among nine people who harbor a significant cluster of attractions. La Ruta del Tambor, and Bombo consists of nine villages (Albalate the Archbishop, Alcañiz, Alcorisa, Andorra, Calanda, Hijar, La Puebla de Hijar, Samper Calanda and Urrea Gaén) united in one mind and with the same aim: to encourage, nurture and respect a tradition ancient and its own way of celebrating Easter. In each village thousands of brethren (children, youth and adults) begin to play the drum and the drum at a specific time, oscillating between Holy Thursday and Good Friday. This "starter" is known as "la rompida de la hora" and is one of the most memorable and recognizable of Easter Lower Aragon. In each municipality shake the silence with his own particular touch and with a different color in the robes. After the break the brethren take turns because the rhythmic thunder of drums and bass drums day and night lasts until the evening of Holy Saturday.
